We visited Bun Buns in the hospital today. Hops got to go into her cage area and see her. It was really sad. The doctor said she was “static” no signs of improvement. She was eating well out of a syringe but she wasn’t regaining her balance or responding to the meds.

We hope she’ll get better tomorrow. The doctor said if she didn’t show signs of improvement by Monday that we may have to consider “other options.” I think she meant euthanasia.

It was really sad for us. Bun Buns laying helpless like that. Both Cindy and I started crying. We don’t really know what’s causing it yet, but they suspect its a parasite E. Cuniculi. I read up on it and they said that sometimes it takes 7-10 days for there to be improvement. We’re not sure if this doctor is really good at treating rabbits so we’re going to talk to the rabbit specialist at the place and then maybe move Bun Buns to a different hospital before we consider “other options.”

And yes Jon, as you can see, she has an IV.
